Our Vision:
Our journey started with a simple vision - to empower teenagers with essential life skills, laying the foundation for them to become independent, responsible, and well-prepared adults.
Reasoning:
In our fast-paced society, many of today's professions might not exist tomorrow, while countless new ones will emerge. Amidst this flux, teenagers often feel lost and unprepared for adult life's challenges, from managing finances to understanding emotional well-being. Our initiative seeks to provide them with the compass they need to navigate these challenges.

Established in 2014, EDLiT Human o.p.s., a branch of EDLiT s.r.o., is dedicated to improving education quality and addressing unemployment, with a focus on assisting those at a career crossroads.
Ruse Industrial Association (RIA), Bulgaria
As an extension of the Bulgarian Industrial Association, RIA in Rousse county blends education and industry, providing vocational training and fostering ties with local universities to support youth entrepreneurship.
Smart Idea, Slovenia
Founded in 2017, Smart Idea innovates in education, developing online learning resources and championing quality assurance in vocational training. Their involvement in the Balkans’ education landscape is profound.
Youthfully Yours SK, Slovakia
Located in Eastern Slovakia, Youthfully Yours SK emphasizes non-formal education, collaborates with regional educational bodies, and actively engages in international programs like Erasmus+ to uplift youth.
MEETINGS
Kick-off Meeting (28-29 August 2023, Smart Idea, Maribor)
On August 28-29, 2023, the kick-off meeting for the "Schooling for Life" (SLIF) project took place in Maribor, Slovenia, hosted by Smart Idea. Representatives from EDLiT Human (Czech Republic), Ruse Industrial Association (Bulgaria), Youthfully Yours SK (Slovakia), and Smart Idea (Slovenia) participated. The meeting agenda included introductions, discussions on project deliverables, CSR in education, the development of work packages, dissemination strategies, and financial agreements. Key outcomes included the establishment of a PERT diagram for project activities, consensus on dissemination channels, and validation of good practices for the project's booklet. The meeting concluded with feedback and suggestions, setting a collaborative tone for the project's future activities.
RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
Booklet of good practices
We are pleased to present the "Schooling for Life" Booklet of Good Practices, a resource designed to help teenagers develop essential life skills for adulthood. This booklet includes practical methods that youth workers, educators, parents, and organisations can use to support young people in areas such as financial literacy, mental health, career management, and civic engagement. It is available in multiple languages and provides clear, evidence-based practices for fostering independence and preparedness in teenagers.
